This is a list of menswear stores and brands in Oslo that I think are worth knowing about. The focus here is on places that carry good pieces, whether that means a strong core product, a well-curated selection, or quality basics.
That doesn’t mean everything they sell is worth buying. A mention here just means the store has something to offer — not that I endorse the entire range. Treat this as a starting point if you’re looking for quality menswear in Oslo. I’ll update the list as I discover more.

Mond Of Copenhagen

The store offers a huge range of customization options, with hundreds of fabrics sourced from the most famous European mills, including wool, linen, and blends suitable for both business and casual tailoring. Customers can personalize fit, style details, linings, and buttons, with garments produced in Europe using traditional tailoring techniques. In addition to tailoring, Mond carries a small selection of ready-to-wear items and accessories. It is my personal favorite store in Oslo and you can trust its in-house style consultants to guide you through the fitting and design process, and help you make the perfect suit.

My absolute favorite shoe store in Oslo. Myrqvist is a Swedish footwear brand that offers everything an elegant man needs in his shoe wardrobe. From timeless derbies and oxfords to versatile loafers and sturdy boots, their collection covers all the essentials. Each pair is crafted in Portugal using high-quality leather, with careful attention to fit, comfort, and durability. The construction reflects a commitment to traditional shoemaking techniques and solid craftsmanship. Livid Jeans

Address: Prinsens gate 3B, 0152 Oslo

Livid Jeans is a Norwegian clothing brand and retailer specializing in high-quality denim and casual menswear. The store offers a focused selection of raw and selvedge jeans, produced in limited quantities with some fabrics even sourced from Japan and the United States. In addition to denim, the store carries shirts, knitwear, chinos, jackets, and a small range of accessories, all designed with an emphasis on durability and rather contemporary design. Livid produces most of its garments with a strong focus on ethical manufacturing and sustainable materials.
They even used to produce made-to-measure jeans in Norway in their Trondheim workshop, but stopped due to high Norwegian labor costs. Let’s hope they bring it back, it would surely delight the most patriotic among us.

The selection includes vintage denim, leather jackets, military garments, workwear, knitwear, and sportswear — primarily sourced from the U.S., Japan, and Europe. Pieces are selected for condition, construction, and character, with an emphasis on durable, timeless styles that have aged well. The store is especially strong in American and Japanese vintage labels, and appeals to those interested in classic menswear with visible history and patina. If you want to visit, note that the store is only open on Saturday afternoons.

Oscar Jacobson is a Swedish menswear brand with several stores in Oslo offering tailored clothing, smart casualwear, and accessories. The brand is known for its modern Scandinavian take on classic menswear, with a focus on well-cut suits, blazers, dress trousers, and outerwear. In addition to off the rack tailoring, the store stocks knitwear, shirts, chinos, and other essentials in good quality. As a downside, it appears not all jackets are half canvased, but are fused instead which will affect comfort, look, but most of all, durability. Overall, the offering suits customers seeking contemporary tailoring with a refined yet accessible look.

Barbour

Address: Grensen 8, 0159 Oslo

Barbour Oslo is the brand’s official store in Norway, offering a full selection of outerwear, casual clothing, and accessories. Barbour is a classic brand that enjoys strong popularity in Norway, especially for its iconic waxed cotton jackets. The store stocks timeless models like the Bedale and Beaufort, which perfectly embody the signature qualities of Barbour jackets — durability, weather resistance, and timeless style. These waxed cotton jackets make an excellent alternative to more urban trench coats, offering rugged heritage appeal with practical function. The value for money is very good, particularly for their jackets produced in England, where the quality remains consistent over the years — something increasingly rare nowadays. Beyond outerwear, Barbour also offers other strong pieces such as shirts and trousers that complement the overall heritage look. While the store carries seasonal outerwear, knitwear, shirts, layering pieces, and accessories, I recommend focusing on their iconic main coats like the Bedale and Beaufort, which truly define the brand’s legacy.

Urban Pioneers

Addresses:
Jernbanetorget 6, 0154 Oslo
Bogstadveien 17, 0355 Oslo

Urban Pioneers is a Norwegian clothing brand offering modern casualwear with a focus on casual and timeless menswear. The Oslo stores carry the full menswear range, including overshirts, knitwear, trousers, outerwear, and everyday basics like T-shirts and sweatshirts. The designs follow a minimalist, Scandinavian aesthetic, often in neutral tones and relaxed fits. The brand emphasizes responsible manufacturing and uses materials such as organic cotton, recycled wool, and Tencel. Urban Pioneers aims to offer versatile, easy-to-wear pieces suited for everyday urban use. A good value for money for casual styles.
